Questions
What counts as a brand?
A brand is one business you send for, with its own sending domain, contacts and texting number. An agency with five clients needs five brands.
What counts as a text?
One SMS segment of the full message, including the business name and opt-out line Sequence adds. A one-segment text holds up to 160 plain characters, or 70 with an emoji or another special character. Longer texts split into segments of 153 or 67 characters. Texting is available in the US.
What happens if I go over my plan?
On Pro and Scale, sending never stops. Extra brands, emails and texts are added to your bill at the rates on each plan. On Free, sending pauses at the limits until you upgrade.
Are there other texting fees?
Each brand includes one texting number. US carriers also charge a one-time fee to register a business for texting and a monthly campaign fee of about $2 to $10, depending on the kind of texts you send. We pass both through at cost.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan needs no card. Add one when you move to Pro or Scale.
Which AI agents work with Sequence?
Any agent that supports MCP, such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. You can also use the REST API or the dashboard.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes, at any time. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the month you paid for.
